Law Summary

Colorado enacted this Act (HB22-1345, amended by SB24-081) phasing out intentionally added PFAS chemicals in various consumer products. Bans cover categories like cookware, food packaging, cosmetics, and textiles (including apparel, upholstery) over a staggered timeline (2024-2028), aiming to protect consumers and the environment. Several other US states have similar targeted PFAS laws.
