Law Summary

Minnesota’s comprehensive law (“Amara’s Law,” 2023) phases out intentionally added PFAS in numerous products. It includes reporting requirements for products containing PFAS (starting 2026) and bans their sale in most product categories, including textiles, by January 1, 2032, with earlier bans for some items.

Law Obligation

Most restrictive U.S. ban on PFAS in consumer products including textiles (effective January 1, 2025)
