Law Summary

TSCA provides the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) authority to require reporting, record-keeping, testing, and restrictions relating to chemical substances and mixtures. It manages new and existing chemicals, addressing production, importation, use, and disposal to protect human health and the environment. 

Law Obligation

  • Companies must submit premanufacture notifications for new chemicals. 
  • Organisations must maintain chemical inventory reporting. 
  • Businesses must follow chemical control regulations.
